SpongeBob SquarePants recently met SpongeSusie Roundpants at a dance. SpongeBob is heterozygous for his square shape, but SpongeSusie is round. Create a Punnett square to show the possibilities that would result if SpongeBob and SpongeSusie had children.

Week 11 - Science Question #3
What is the difference between an inherited trait and acquired trait?(Please put these in your own words!) Name three of each type of traits that describe you and give evidence as to why they are that type of trait.
We have been studying a lot about genes in science lately. Here is what I know about traits, there are two main types inherited and acquired. An inherited trait is something passed down from your parents, its in your genes and there is nothing you can do to change it. An acquired trait you learn while living your life or the environment causes it.
My Inherited Traits
Brown hair
Hazel eyes
Detached earlobes
These traits are inherited because they were passed down from my parents through their DNA. My mom and I have the same hair color.
My Acquired Traits
Flute player
Scar on knee
Good suntan
These traits are acquired because I learned it while living my life like playing the flute. I got a scar on my knee from riding my bike, I was not born with it just like having a good suntan.
